Your Emotional Data

At Error 404 Radio, we believe your feelings are your own frequency. Here's what happens when you tune in:

Mood Input: When you tell us your mood, we use it to generate a personalized radio segment. This data is sent to our AI service (Groq) to create your segment.
Local Storage: Your recent segments are saved in your browser's local storage so you can replay them. This data never leaves your device.
Voice Synthesis: All audio is generated in your browser using the Web Speech API. No audio data is transmitted or stored.
No Account Required: We don't collect personal information, emails, or create user accounts. You're just another voice in the static.

What We Don't Do

We don't track your listening habits across sessions
We don't sell your emotional data to third parties
We don't store your voice or audio recordings
We don't use cookies for tracking (only for essential functionality)
We don't require registration or personal information
We don't broadcast your private feelings without permission

Third-Party Services

We use the following services to keep the station running:

Groq AI: Processes your mood input to generate radio segments. Subject to their privacy policy.
Vercel: Hosts our radio station. Subject to their privacy policy.
Web Speech API: Browser-native voice synthesis. No data leaves your device.

Sharing Segments

When you share a radio segment:

A unique link is created that contains the segment text
Anyone with the link can read and play the segment
Shared segments are stored locally and may not be accessible if you clear your browser data
We don't track who accesses shared links

Your Rights in the Static

You have the right to:

Clear your local segment history at any time
Turn off studio ambiance and sound effects
Stop using the service without any consequences
Contact us about privacy concerns (though we might respond in radio DJ voice)
